Collection: Gladys Petyarr Beasley

Gladys Beasley is an Alyawarr speaker residing in Wutunugurra (Epenarra). She has painted with the Epenarra artists collective since 2011, experimenting with a range of batik on silk, painting on found objects, and painting on canvas. Her works on canvas depict the range of bush foods, medicine, and flowers found in the countryside around Wutunugurra and the stories of women hunting for them. Gladys uses a careful application of dots and short strokes to create a harmonious blend of colours.
