Canteen Creek artist Keris Clegg has painted bush bananas at various stages of their growth against a background of concentric dotting. The green bananas, round in their youth and pointed as they ripen, emerge against the pastel pink backdrop dotted with blue, white and red. Depictions of native bush tuckers are popular among the Canteen Creek artists, as they constitute an important method for the preservation of cultural knowledge.
