The painting is a depiction of the unique landscape surrounding the community of Wuntungarra (Epenarra.) The area is described by the local indigenous people as Hill Country. It is partly protected as Iytwelepenty (The Davenport Ranges National Park), including the sites of Whistleduck Creek and Policeman Waterhole.It is referred as semi-tropical with a unique variety of birds, insects and flora.
