Magdalene Foster
Acrylic on Canvas
30cm x 30cm
With the blocks of fine dot work that typify her work, Magdalene Foster has here depicted the Epenarra landscape in brilliant colour.
The distinctive landscape of her Davenport Ranges home is a recurring subject in Magalene's work. Wutunugurra (Epenarra) is described by the residents as Hill Country. It is nestled in the foothills of Iytwelepenty (the Davenport Ranges National Park). The area is home to the popular camping sites of Whistleduck Creek, Policeman Waterhole and a unique variety of birds, insects and bush medicine.
