"When we go out bush we see wild flowers growing everywhere."
Epenarra artist Tracey Peterson has painted wild flowers in an array of colours. Set against a structured, rhythmic array of purple and blue dotting, the different groupings of wild flowers appear to be floating atop a body of water. Native flowers and leaves are important as many are used as bush medicines and they are regularly depicted in order to convey cultural knowledge and educate indigenous and non-indigenous people.
