Collection: Christine Rankine Napaljarri

Christine Rankine Napaljarri was born in Warabri {Ali Curung } and lives between Mungkarta and Tennant Creek. Her homeland is Warlapampa and she speaks Warlpiri, Alyawarr and Kaytetye language. She started to paint in 2003 taught by her mother, sister and aunties.
She has done her studies art Yirara College (Alice Springs) before going to Kormilda College (now Hailebury) in Darwin. She was part of the NT soccer team during her time in Alice Sprigs High School. 
Christine predominantly portrays water stories using her unique style of loose, yet heavily controlled dotting, making rhythmic and hypnotic patterns, informed and brought to life by her bold and concise colour palette of bright, psychedelic colours.
