Collection: Jessie Kemarr Beasley

Jessie Beasley was born in Wutunugurra (Epenarra) in 1958, where she continues to live and paint today. Her painting career started in 2002 during a painting workshop in the community, and she has continued to paint and make handicrafts every year since then. Jessie illustrates the diverse botanical life of the Wutunugurra region with a fine and intricate style. Her layered dot-making, characteristic of the Epenarra artist collective she works among, creates subtle colour schemes which to set off the bush foods and flowers that are the focus of her work.
