Collection: Michelle Nambidjinba Brodie
Waramungu woman Michelle Brodie is a member of the Tartukula studio, she is the daughter and niece of well-known artists Lindy Brodie and Heather Anderson respectively. Michelle works closely with her mother and aunt whose stories and techniques inform her practice - a testament to the art centres' place as a space for a multi-generational knowledge exchange. Michelle's stark landscapes are formed with bold blocks of colour against which she depicts graphically styled motifs drawn from life on Country; characters fish and collect firewood among trees, cars, humpys, and campfires; this is life in the desert.
