This painting is about a man named Watu-Urdli and his two sons. His sons disobey the food gathering laws of the tribe and keep the bigger Kangaroos for themselves, giving their father the smaller ones. Angry and disappointed, Wata-Urdli take the Kangaroos and cut them in half. Through magical songs he turns them into two flocks of full sized Kangaroos. He tells his sons to go hunting and tricks them. Turning the Kangaroos, the sons and their weapons into stars. Wata-Urdli jumps into a hole he created and reappears on the other side of the world as the morning star so he never has to look at his sons again.
